Changed ECU. Fault Code P0010

Hi, Mk2 1.6 2002. Would not start faulty. Changed ECU, immob, key etc for ECU from Mk 2.5 1.8 2004. Car starts runs great but engine light on and fault code P0010. Which usually indicates vvt fault, my car does not have vvt. Do you think it is new ECU or do I have other fault? Thanks.
