The Mazda CX-3 is a compact crossover SUV manufactured in Japan by Mazda. Based on the same platform as the Mazda2, it was revealed to the public with a full photo gallery on November 19, 2014 and later at the Los Angeles Auto Show as a 2016 model year production vehicle.

According to Automotive News, Mazda CEO Masamichi Kogai stated that the CX-3 will be manufactured / assembled exclusively in Hiroshima, Japan. The CX-3 will be offered with an array of engines such as a turbocharged 1.3 L four cylinder gasoline engine, 2.0 L four cylinder gasoline engine and a 1.5 L SkyActiv-D diesel engine.
