Production of the long-awaited fourth-generation 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata began this week, and base models will start at $24,915.
The highly regarded little roadsters ? long loved by enthusiasts ? will begin arriving in dealerships late this summer.
?Whether customers opt for a Sport, Club, Grand Touring or Launch edition, we?re confident the MX-5 will deliver the same owner passion, excitement and pride that have made the previous generations among the most beloved cars on the road or racetrack at any price point,? said Rod McLaughlin, MX-5 vehicle line manager.
The base cars will be equipped with 2-liter four-cylinder engines rated at 155 horsepower and matched to six-speed manual transmissions.
At the top of the line will be Launch Edition vehicles with starting prices of $30,495. Those models will be available with 17-inch wheels, Bilstein dampers, a shock-tower brace and other equipment.
Customers can pre-register for a new Miata at www.LongLiveTheRoadster.com and can place orders beginning on May 5.
